Students keen on netball now have the chance to be part of our netball Academy, under the guidance of Coach Miss Janelle Owen. The academy consists of an extra netball specific training session per week with fitness and technical/skill based focus.

All girls from all year levels are welcome to attend.

Criteria for selection

• Positions have been restricted to Yr 9, 10 and 11 students; those selected must maintain an sound academic programme and achievement
• Excellent attendance
• Must play for a Waitakere College netball team.
• This is an exciting venture for Waitakere College in utilising the strengths of our staff to build up the skills and talents of our students.

Netball academy runs Mondays before school - 7:10am start sharp.
