Every term the Year 13 Medical Science Academy students attend a Kuata (conference) with the other schools involved in the program.
This term our students got the opportunity to listen to guest speakers and receive guidance on how to prepare for university.
The purpose of this Kuata was to:
- Provide the knowledge, resources, and skills that will empower students to thrive in their first year of tertiary study.
- Provide a forum that strengthens the value of developing peer networks and support among Year 13 Health Science Academy students.
- Expose students to the learning facilities for health professionals at the Ko Awatea Centre.
Every term this has been a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable knowledge and skills to prepare them for the term ahead.
