Due to technical difficulties, getting a digital ID will be a couple of weeks away.
However, we know you're eager to get your hands on a digital ID card, so we'll let you know once these are available. Keep reading for more on this fantastic new initiative.
Auckland Transport is partnering with digital ID champions Yoti to bring a new alternative to the traditional plastic student ID cards issued by schools. AT wants to make the process for Auckland Secondary schools and students as simple as possible. Therefore, there will be no charge for students who adopt a digital ID card. However, you might still want a plastic ID card, and that’s fine. You can see Mrs Borich at Accounts to get that sorted.
If you have already paid for a plastic card but would prefer the free digital ID, Mrs Borich can refund the $10, or you can put it toward other school-related costs.
Students can use these digital IDs on all AT’s public transport options (bus, train, ferry). To board, students simply use their digital ID.
