It is with sadness that we announce that one of our students, Suliveta Nathan Siaosi, who has been with us since 2020, has passed away on Saturday 12/3/22. Peacefully surrounded by his loving aiga.
Kia Ora Families, Whanau and Aiga,
Our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with Suliveta's family and friends at this time.
Suliveta had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in January of this year and slipped into a coma in the last few days. His death was not related to Covid.
Suliveta bounced into the Inclusion Support Center (ISC) in February 2020. He was a lively handsome young man with a beaming smile and a charm that captivated everyone from the beginning. He made friends easily and had no enemies. He loved his sports and especially loved to chat! Any chance he had, Suli would strike up a conversation, especially when he was supposed to be learning.
Suliveta was a polite, well mannered young man who was eager to help others no matter what the task was. He cared for all the ISC no matter what their disability and would often be seen chatting to the non-verbal students too. He was compassionate, kind and loving.
He will also be well known to many students across the College and was a member of the Samoan Bi-Lingual classes at Henderson Intermediate
Our staff, and in particular staff in the ISC are devastated by the passing of this vibrant young man with a promising future. Our heart goes out to his family, especially his siblings here at the College in yr 10 and 11.
Our Guidance team is also here to help. Feel free to contact our HoD of Guidance, Katie Wasson on [email protected]
I would ask you to please respect the privacy of the family and aiga during this time, both in person and on social media.
We have provided support to his classmates and friends today which will also be ongoing as needed.
Nga mihi Nyi and God Bless
