The ISC welcomed Acting 2 Advocate to Waitakere College last Friday.
The wonderful actors devise scenes from their own life experiences that address themes of human rights like the right to privacy, to work, freedom of abuse and to have relationships. Acting 2 Advocate aims to increase understanding in the Intellectually Disabled Community of their Human Rights in the hopes that they will lead good and fulfilling lives. The performance was thought-provoking and the message was powerful:- That no matter who we are we all deserve to be treated with respect, deserve to have a voice and deserve to be heard.
