The All Schools Annual Pétanque Competition was held on Friday, 28th March at the Herne Bay Club. This year, we entered 7 teams into the tournament. It was a really fun day with lots of cheering and excited laughter. There was some really good play and even some tactical play when the teams could see the danger of an opposing ball; some enthusiastic shooting was seen!! 

WAITĀKERE took 1st place for the First time EVER! Our winning team is: Anurag Mandava, Caleb Matson and Casey Baker.

We also took 2nd place (shared). Epsom Girls didn't have enough players to make a team, so of course we had 2 Waitākere students volunteer to help them. Makar and Rylie Gavin truly showed the spirit of Waitākere values by supporting Epsom Girls and showing team spirit.
