Waitākere College students Matilda Otter-Lowe, Analiese Marygold, Lola Porter, and some of our other students have started a petition to reinstate the old model and former funding for the school lunch programme.
Students say the old school lunch programme delivered locally-made lunches that were “tasty and nutritious”, but the new programme has meals arriving late, or not at all, and often includes food that is “burnt” or “inedible”.

There are over 1300 signatures already, but with only 15 days left, they need all students and families who feel the same to sign and share the petition here

The petition has also reached the media, with local MP Phil Twyford supporting the students through their campaign. You can read the latest news article here
