In week 6 we went on a haerenga to Whatipū for the Year 13 drama devising camp. All of our ākonga completed their 5 credit assessment, creating intelligent, imaginative and attuned pieces of site-specific theatre.
The moments in between the mahi were very special - cooking together, sharing stories, and really building the whanaungatanga between the class. We were blessed to have Josie Wall from Te Kawerau ā maki visit us on assessment day which deepened the group’s understanding of Whatipū and its pūrākau.
