Polyfest Leaders Conference

As the summer heat soared, it did not deter our student leaders from various secondary schools across New Zealand from attending the annual Polyfest Leaders Conference. Our group of 12 leaders participated in this two-day event at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The conference featured a variety of workshops, speakers, voice training, dance challenges, and fun activities, attracting over 300 students from around the country.

Our very own Taipua Kipa was interviewed by TVNZ, showcasing Taipua's natural leadership abilities and use of te reo throughout the event. As recognition for Taipua's numerous leadership roles during the two days, he was awarded a prize pack.

Congratulations to all our leaders on receiving their gold badges! This year's theme, "Legacy" - "A treasure handed down" ("He oha no tua, he taonga tuku iho"), perfectly aligned with the celebration of 50 years of ASB Polyfest and 50 years of Waitākere College. How fitting!
