The Junior Girl's volleyball team attended the Auckland Junior Volleyball Championships from Wednesday, November 13th to Friday, November 15th held at Pulman Arena.

On day 1, there were 16 pools of 3 teams and our team won both games against Pakuranga (2-1) and Onehunga (2-0).

We qualified for division 1.

On day 2, there were 4 pools of 4 teams and our team lost against Carmel College (0-2), but won against Massey (2-1) and Howick College (2-1) and qualified for the quarter finals.

On day 3, we lost our quarter final against the top seeds (and eventual winners) Rangitoto College (0-2).

We then lost our next 2 games against Papakura (0-2) and Kelston Girls High School (1-2).

There are a lot of positives that the girls can take away from their performance and behaviour at this tournament. Our final placing was 8th.

Special thanks to Mr Tawhai and Mr Hough who helped with driving and giving their time to support the girls at the tournament.

Also, special thanks to Angel Florendo who was the team manager. Angel helped with practices leading up to the tournament, as well as being with the team and supporting the girls at Auckland Champs.
