The announcement of the 2025 Prefects has been made, and it is a huge honour for these students to represent the senior body at our College. They are expected to achieve academically while also contributing to our school community. Their responsibilities include supporting the vision of making Waitākere College ‘Better Than Before.’ These Prefects engage in various leadership and service activities, such as Peer Support and Academic Mentoring, which play a significant role in the life of the College as well as school events and presenting at awards evenings. Though only a few students are selected as Prefects, all Year 13 students are encouraged to embrace leadership roles as they present themselves, be it as a sports captain, class representative or club leader and take all opportunities that arise.
