On Tuesday at the Auckland Basketball Champs, Waitākere College walked away as winners of 2 separate grades!   

Our U17 Girls had a tough match against Kristin in the semi-finals. Leading the whole game, the girls held on for a great 22-21 win!
The girls in the finals matched against Botany Downs and won 26-15. A resolute defensive effort carried the girls through. Congratulations to Mr Ben Grace on coaching the girls during this amazing season!   

Our Senior Boys beat Aorere in the semi-finals in a tight, heavily contested game that was won in the final seconds by a pair of free throws by Josiah Skeen. Final score 54-51.
In the final, the boys had a rematch against Macleans, the only team to have beaten Waitākere this year. The team took that loss very seriously and came out on a mission leading to a 46-35 win.
