Over the last two weeks the Year 9 Performing Arts Academy class have been performing their pantomime of Cinderella to a number of audiences.
The class of 21 performing arts students have been rehearsing Cinderella since the middle of Term 2 and were very excited to put their hard work in front of an audience. They first performed to some of the classes from the ISC along with invited whānau and friends of the cast. We then had two local daycare centres visit us to see the show. The 9PFA students had a blast performing to a captive audience of 3 and 4 year olds! For our final performance, we took the show on the road. Mr Nightingale and Miss Foulds took 9PFA to Waitākere Primary School where they performed Cinderella to the junior school. Experiencing different audiences and having to adapt their performance to different spaces taught this hard working class some very sophisticated performance skills.
9PFA you should be so proud of yourselves! Your hard work, talent and dedication paid off. Ka rawe!
