Gabriel Taylor from the Inclusion Support Centre was eager to get involved with a sports team, so he became Coach Philip Brain's assistant. He's responsible for making team calls, collecting gear, and helping with score clock work during training.  Last week, our Senior Boys Basketball team was scheduled to play against Rutherford. When Rutherford arrived, they had decided to default the game to allow some ex-students to play, in order to make the game more challenging due to the strength of Waitākere College. 

This presented an opportunity that the team was eager to pursue. Since it was a default, at the beginning of the 4th quarter, the team could add Gabriel to the game as part of the playing 5.
