We farewelled our Term 2 students by hosting a farewell lunch for them and gifting them with a Waitākere hat which they can wear proudly back home. 

We hope they had a great experience being at our school and living in New Zealand. 

We are excited to have seven new International Students join us this term.
Two of the new students are from Germany, one student is from Vietnam and four students from Japan join us.  We also have one student who is here on an exchange programme from Taiwan.
Our student from Vietnam is here on a scholarship through Education New Zealand and he is our first scholarship student to attend Waitākere College. 

Our International Students come here to learn, grow, travel and experience a different culture as well as form friendships with our local students.  
It is heartwarming to hear of the global friendships our students make once an International Student has returned home.
