Last week Waitākere College hosted three other schools for a math challenge, which was organised similarly to the Auckland Mathex competition. The West Auckland Maths Challenge is aimed at increasing the enjoyment of math for Māori and Pasifika students through healthy inter-school competition. The schools that competed in this round were Waitākere, St. Peters, Rutherford, and Massey, each with two Y9 and two Y10 teams.
