The Waitākere College Foundation is a charitable trust formed by community leaders and past pupils of the College. Established in 2015, the foundation has now directly supported over 250 students through donations exceeding $100,000 and we aspire to do so much more.
We are seeking applications from people in our community who can volunteer their time, and roll up their sleeves to help us achieve our goals!
The Trustee positions
We have two opportunities to become a Trustee of the Foundation. Depending on your experience, one could be the Chair. This is a great opportunity to deepen our links to the community and get greater diversity around the table. Trustees have a variety of responsibilities including overseeing the direction and operation of the foundation as well as hands-on work.
• Organising fundraising campaigns or events
• Making connections within our West Auckland community to benefit the students at Waitākere College
• Making decisions regarding foundation operations and distribution of funds to best serve our mission.
Above all, you’ll have a passion for seeing young people thrive.
