Hosting a Rotary inbound exchange student is a wonderful opportunity where families relish the opportunity to share our culture with another young person. In return, they learn a new culture and get to know a new family from across the world.

Hosting a student enables the Rotary Club to keep the costs of their programme down. There is no monetary exchange for hosting a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. We ask families to open their homes (and hearts) to a young person just as a family overseas will do for your student.

Students live with their host family for four months and move to three families during their year. They stay at the same school and are hosted by the same Rotary Club. This gives the student stability and a constant support network.

All adults in the house (over 18 years) are Police Vetted to ensure the safety of our students.
Students are expected to act as regular family members contributing to normal household chores. Students are required to have their own bedroom.
