Isla Whinnen-Jensen, a Year 9 student, represented Waitākere College at event 2 of the Auckland Rock Climbing series over the weekend. Held at Northern Rocks, this was Isla's first time competing in a rock climbing competition, she did very well, had fun, and even won a sweatshirt as a spot prize.

The next event will take place on June 23rd. Other interested students can participate for $25 per event, and there are two more events remaining. Participants need to be able to make their way to the events and must have a guardian with them. Registration is available through the school's sports department.
