At the moment, all Year 9 students are completing a goal-setting activity called ‘My Path’ in their Academic E-Learning class (AeL class.) Ael class is one lesson every six days focusing on digital literacy, goal setting, and using the online Writer's Toolbox platform to build literacy skills.
Students are reflecting on their PAT Reading Comprehension, Listening, and Maths assessment results from last term and are making SMART goals to work on for the remainder of this year.
SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. We would encourage all parents and caregivers of Year 9 students to ask their children what their SMART goals are and to offer support and accountability as they work towards achieving them.
