During Term 2, Year 10 Soft Materials designed and made a custom t-shirt for either themselves or as a gift to someone else. During their journey, they learned a range of complex sewing techniques. For some, this was their first experience making an item on the sewing machine.  
Students experimented with various textile design applications like fabric painting with stencils made with our laser cutter and creating artwork with the digital embroidery machine.  

Sewing is a patient art form, and with that, our students showed manawanui every lesson pushing themselves to create a beautifully designed and constructed product. They should be very proud of their creations.
