Our Years 11, 12 and 13 Business students held a Market day last Saturday at School.
58 Businesses across the year groups developed a product, conducted market research and then produced a business plan, allowing them to produce products to sell at the event. These products range from Brownies and cake pops to many different types of t-shirts and the presentation and packaging were achieved to a very high standard. Our year 11 Business Students learn all of the basic aspects of running a business in a term and our year 12 and 13 students learn in-depth knowledge enabling the running of their business.
The turnout was amazing, most businesses sold out by just after midday, with all businesses making a profit, some taking home a nice surprise from all their hard work. This has been such a success that we will be endeavouring to hold the market as a yearly event.
HOD of Commerce, Mr Cicchini said "I would like to thank you all for your support of the business students and I am so proud of our business students and our commerce department team for achieving such a successful event. I hope you enjoyed the event and look forward to seeing you all at the Market Day next year."
