Reader's Cup is a reading competition where teams across several schools in the North Island will be quizzed on six books they have read during Term 2. The books are Refugee by Alan Gratz, Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson, Falling into Rarohenga by Steph Matuku, No Fixed Address by Susin Nielsen, We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and Rebound by Kwame Alexander. 

Waitākere College is represented by a competent and driven group of Year 9 girls, Zia Prajapati, Analiese Marygold, Lola Porter, Annie Martin and Isabel Ragay with support from Mrs Penrose and Ms Munro.

In preparation for the Reader's Cup, the team meet each week to discuss all things books! Covering different aspects such as character, important events, setting and themes.

The group hopes to make Waitākere College proud!
