With changes to literacy requirements coming to NCEA next year, it is important that our students have every chance of success. In Years 9 and 10 we hold our ALP and ACL classes for two terms during option periods - their purpose is specifically to help students build confidence in class and raise literacy levels.
 
We are currently choosing students for these programmes in the second half of the year - 45% of junior students will be in one or the other in Y9 or 10. Please contact your child's English teacher if you believe your child would benefit. We will also send a letter home via email once we have chosen the students we think will most benefit.
