Five members of the Year 12 Services Academy went to RNZAF Base Auckland over the 8th – 12th of May to participate in the Service Academy Basic Leaders Course.
This is an annual leadership course run by the New Zealand Defence Force for selected Academy members. Students are taught basic leadership principles and tested in physically demanding situations. All of the students were exhausted but showed everyone our Waitākere College values.
Congratulations to Senio Afamasaga, Sydnee Atchison, Miriama Grace, Alexander Nathan-Siaosi and Taulima (Lima) Tauti. We look forward to seeing these students use and refine their new skills within the Waitākere College Service Academy.
