Senior Prizegiving was held in our newly refurbished and completely packed out Jackson Auditorium - Te Tiakihana Whare Tapere.
It was exciting for all of us to be back in the 'soul' of the kura to celebrate student success, The senior prizegiving is always the pinnacle of the school's event calendar.
Ex-student Rish Hinwar spoke eloquently about his academic journey. Minister Hon Phil Twyford presented an award and we had beautiful performances by the Orchestra as well as a piano solo by Nemo Yongchareon.
Students had their special moment of walking across the stage and being recognised for all the hard mahi and manawanui they had to muster to achieve this academic success.
Emotions were high for students, their whānau, and teachers shedding tears of pride and accomplishment. For Year 13s it was an exceptional high to end five years of study, friendships, and fun, and looking forward to bright futures full of possibilities and adventures.
Many thanks to all the staff, students, and members of the community who made it such a special night.
