Nominated by Miss Millar

Students competed in a debate where the moot was "There should be development at Ihumātao." The students diligently prepared for the debate by preparing speeches, writing questions for other groups, and researching potential questions they may be asked. On the day, the chosen speakers presented their arguments with manawanui and pride. The class acted respectfully throughout the debate and it helped the students understand the differing perspectives involved in the issue. Ms. Bartlett and Ms. McFall came to observe the lesson - run by my student teacher Miss Gardner -  and they were very impressed.
