There will be Auctions, Raffles and Games on the night!

We will also have a couple of Students coming on the night, who received support from Foundation. They will talk about how that financial support made such a positive impact on the direction on their life.

Waitakere College Foundation was created with the sole purpose being to help students, who through no fault of their own, miss out on important life building moments because they do not have financial support.

The Foundation was created to “Provide opportunities for our kids to succeed in education by reducing barriers”. By providing opportunities and reducing the gap in their educational needs, the students now have access to learn and participate, contribute, and feel part of their school community. We are giving them the tools and support to become the best they can be.

The Foundation is not raising funds to build grand buildings, the only building we are interested in (and strive to achieve), is the building up of our students confidence and their self-belief, and that they themselves have the power to achieve their goals - we are just giving them a hand up, to kick start that dream.

By providing these opportunities to Students, we are able to help direct them on their desired path to become positive, contributing members of society.

The Foundation fundraises for items including but not limited to: Providing winter shoes & uniform to College students that desperately need them; providing Chromebooks & Stationery; sending deserving Students to School Camps; awarding Scholarships for school leavers (to enable them to purchase the required equipment/pay fees to enter into their training of choice).

To date the Foundation has awarded $33,000 worth of Scholarships to school leavers. One of our 2017 Scholarship recipients, has already secured a place in a National Barber’s competition, in the Apprenticeship category!

Your logo and details and what you donated will be prominently displayed on Tickets and all advertising and on our Newsletter (that goes out to 1,700 interactive subscribers) and on our Facebook page. It will also be displayed up on the revolving screens during the whole night.

The more funds we can raise, the more young lives we can positively impact!
